Sprinters - Strength

… and really, this could be for anybody.

In the Media drop down menu, click on documents and find the DAREBEE.COM pdf. It is actually titled “strength-protocol”, but is within the DAREBEE.COM website. This is a site that was shared with me when we went into stay-at-home mode in March. If you look through this site, it is an excellent site for workouts that are body weight and do not require equipment. So the “Strength-Protocol” is just one of many that you should consider. It encompasses all the muscle groups with many anti-movement qualities. There are many different options within this website, but I firmly believe that the strength program that will work for you is the one that you believe in. You will put in that extra energy once you have buy-in with the workout. Look over this site and if “no equipment” pertains to you, I suggest you save this site.

As you continue on with off season training, follow this weekly plan of strength train 2 days/week, plyometrics 1-2 days/week and the sprint workout (also in the documents section) 2 days/week.

Finally, continue to see the daily updated “Senior Tributes” on our Teampages website. I have highlighted Ben, Mitchell, Tricia, and Daniel so far. There are 9 senior athletes left to showcase over the next week or so.
