Hoping you all enjoyed the beautiful day yesterday.
Today should be similar weather!
Get ready to push yourselves, because today’s a workout day. All you need to do today is: watch your particular training video, and work on one of the three areas you are focusing on improving on this season.
Be tough out there today! You are capable of great things.

It’s the best weather day of the week! Enjoy it, but it might be a good idea to find the sunscreen!

We’re in between a meet yesterday and a meet tomorrow (Maple Lake relays). Get out an play today; be it whatever you have access to. Use your muscles and body movements differently. Get a good stretch (dynamic and static); bring your “Yoga for Sprinters” video outside. Hydrate. Let the sun pick up our energy levels…and do something for the Earth!!!

It’s Wednesday! Which means it’s time to focus on our overall health, while getting in a little work.
This is also the day to think about continuing to address one of your three personal goals for the season. Like most areas of life if you want a different result, you often times have to take a different approach. Sometimes it feels as if we aren’t making much progress in areas of our life, but I ask you to consider that any progress is good progress. So keep forging through whichever areas you have decided to address. Discipline and diligence will be helpful. One step at a time!
As for today’s plan of action: 1. Watch the “encouragement” video 2. Watch the “parable talk” 3. Watch your respective training video. 4. Focus on your health and recovery. You are not a machine, so take care of yourselves!
You all are awesome !

Simulation meet in Albany today.

I’m going to keep emphasizing the mental training aspect. Keep pulling up videos of top track and field athletes at the college and Olympic level and analyzing their movements and efforts.

Warm up

As far as the physical side of the “meet”, pick 3 sprint lengths (or simulate with the time you’d prefer to run them in and make it a timed event) and perform them at your highest level. Get full recovery on all of them.

Integrate 4-5 field event runway approaches like you’d normally coordinate at a meet even if you are not a field event person.

Cool down stretch

“Nothing can stop the man (woman) with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.” ―Thomas Jefferson
Good morning ! Before you even watch your video for today’s workout I would like you to make sure you first have the right mental attitude. This is a challenging workout so make sure you positively reinforce yourself that you are both capable and able to accomplish this challenge before ever beginning.
Also, please pay attention to the effort and rest; as they vary and are specific to accomplish the goal of the workout.
1. Watch your individual training groups workout 2. Be in communication with your small groups. You’ll need some encouragement today.
Go get it!
